In Tashkent branch of Plehanov’s Russian economic university was held round table discussion devoted to the theme “Digital economy as a challenge for modern science and society” on December 1, 2020. The theme covered the implementation aspects of the State Program 2020 – “The Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy”

The teaching staff of the university, applicants, as well as practitioners and researchers of the Tashkent branch were invited to participate in the round table.

Opening the event, the head of the Branch, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdurakhmanov K.Kh. noted “… the announcement of this year as the Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy” brought progress in this direction. Recently, in our country, at an accelerated pace and with a high spirit, measures are being taken to ensure the reform and development of the sphere of science and education, and to increase the competitiveness of economic sectors.

As the President of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev emphasized in his speeches, “… We need innovative development like air. We have set the goal of joining a number of developed countries, and we will be able to enter this list only through accelerated reforms and the development of science. For this we need personnel from a new formation. Therefore, we began to reform all levels of education. We must deeply master new knowledge and innovative technologies. This will make it possible to follow the shortest path of progress. The formation of the digital economy will require huge funds and resources. But we must start doing this today, because tomorrow it will be too late.

Today we are moving onto the path of innovative development aimed at radically improving all spheres of life of the state and society. And this is natural. After all, who is winning in today’s rapidly developing world? Only that state that relies on a new thought, new idea, innovation. Innovation means the future. If we start building our great future today, we must do it, first of all, on the basis of innovative ideas, an innovative approach. “

This can be said to be our scientific production. The result of scientific research throughout this year. They reflect the main directions of the State Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan 2020 “The Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy”.
