“Total dictation” was held in Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent.
This year the Branch joined firstly to the global campaign “Total Dictation” and became its partner.
On October 17, 2020, at the Branch, everyone had the opportunity to take part in the event and check their level of knowledge of Russian language. The text of the dictation was read by the Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, actor, director, screenwriter, Commander of the Order of St. George III degree, winner of the highest prize of the Russian Film Academy “Lady Luck” named after Pavel Luspekaev Sagdullaev Rustam Abdullaevich.
Total dictation took place offline in a specially prepared hall, observing all sanitary standards and social distance.
Total dictation is an annual educational action in the form of a voluntary dictation for everyone. The aim of the action is to show that being literate is important for everyone; to convince that studying Russian is not easy, but exciting and useful; to unite everyone who can or wants to write and speak Russian.
Total dictation is a public project that is carried out by activists and volunteers. The organizer of the action is Total Dictation Foundation (Novosibirsk). A unique text of dictation is created by famous writer every year especially for the action. Anyone can participate in Total Dictation, regardless of age, gender, education, religion, profession, marital status, interests and political views.
During the meeting of the Director of the Branch, Academician Abdurakhmanov K.Kh. with the organizers of the action received letters of thanks for a significant contribution to organization of global educational campaign “Total Dictation-2020” signed by the Chairman of the Board of the Russian Cultural Center of Uzbekistan S. Mironov.
At the end of the event, Branch students gave an interview to the correspondents of Sputniknews-uz.com channel who spoke about their impressions of participation in the action.
