Viewing of the broadcast of the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Oliy Majlis was organized at the Branch.

 

In viewing hall of a new complex of buildings equipped with special and multimedia equipment, viewing of the broadcast of the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev Oliy Majlis was organized. 

This important event for all citizens of Uzbekistan found a lively response among students and faculty of Tashkent Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. The hall brought together professors, doctors of science, authorities of the Branch and all of them focused on the main tasks to be completed in 2020 with great attention.

Uzbekistan intends to join the ranks of developed countries, which can be done only through accelerated reforms, relying on science, education and innovation, the president said. The republic needs personnel of a new formation, initiating reforms, possessing a strategic vision, deep knowledge and high qualifications.

To do this, the country is reforming all levels of education – from preschool to higher.

As the President emphasized, “Science and education are of paramount importance for increasing intellectual and spiritual potential of not only young people, but also of our entire society. Where science does not develop, regression, backwardness of society in all spheres and ignorance are observed.”

While reading the Address to the Senate and Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis President proposed to declare 2020 as the Year of Development of Science, Education and Digital Economy.

“The great thinkers of the East said: “The greatest wealth is intelligence and science, the greatest inheritance is good education, the greatest poverty is a lack of knowledge,” – Shavkat Mirziyoyev reminded. “The desire to acquire modern knowledge, to be enlightened and to have high culture should become a vital need for all of us.”
