Tashkent Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics entered the top 20% of universities in the regional ranking of QSEECA University Rankings 2021.
British rating agency QS Quacquarelli Symonds has published the results of the regional ranking of universities in developing Europe and Central Asia for 2021. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics has climbed 9 places in the ranking compared to last year and took 75th place in the region (18th place in Russia), that is, for the first time entered the top 20% of universities in the region. The growth of the university’s position was mainly due to the following indicators: – international cooperation (+87) – citation of publications (+66) – efficiency of Internet resources (+33) – share of foreign students (+17) – number of articles per one academic staff (+9). The ranking includes 400 best universities from the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyz Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine. From Russia, 121 universities were included in the rating, of which 19 were in the top 100 of the rating. Among the universities of the social and humanitarian profile, only the Higher School of Economics, MGIMO University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
