Meeting with students

On February 27, 2020 in the conference hall of the university there held an open lecture at joint tutorial lesson for students of 1st – 4th bachelor degree students on the topic: “Extremism and terrorism – a threat to the future of youth”, which was conducted by an employee of Muslim Board of Uzbekistan Sh.B. Khamdamov.

 

It should be noted that in Tashkent Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics such events and meetings are organized and conducted on a regular basis in accordance with the letter of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 89-06-134 of February 17, 2020.

During the event, topical issues of definition of the concept of modern terrorism and extremism were considered, statistical data of the media on committed terrorist acts in the world and their harmful consequences were presented.

In addition, lecturer touched on questions of the history of emergence and development of terrorism, ideology and psychology of terrorism, manifestations of extremism, fanaticism and fundamentalism, missionary activity and proselytism.

Deputy Director for Youth Affairs of Tashkent Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Doctor of Historical Sciences Ernazarov F.N. and Doctor of Political Sciences Goyibnazarov Sh.G. informed about state of national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and provisions of universal and regional international documents aimed at combating terrorism. The lecture was accompanied by extensive presentation material and was delivered at high professional level.

Students of various courses gathered in the conference hall of the university with all seriousness and great understanding reacted to the issues raised during the event.

It should be noted that this meeting is part of systematic work that is being carried out at the university in accordance with Work Plan of the Tutors’ Council approved by the management of the Branch. Tutorial hours, spiritual lessons for students, meetings, and other educational events are held at the Branch on a regular basis.

Active participation in the conversation with university youth testifies to its sense of ownership in the problem, which now cannot leave anyone indifferent.

The main idea of ​​this event is that our most invaluable wealth is a peaceful and calm life and its safety, this is our task and civic duty.
